Commercial kitchen extraction and canopies

The layout, equipment, extraction, electrical and gas safety systems of a commercial kitchen all need to be planned together for it to work. “We take care of the whole process. We visit the site, design the kitchen based on your cooking habits, manufacture the stainless steel and canopies in our workshop and have our own engineers do the installation.
A canopy is just one part of a kitchen ventilation system and we design and fit the ductwork, fans, controls and any odor or noise control at the same time.

Why us ?

Types of canopy we manufacture and install

A canopy for cooking on one side against a wall, normally with a filter bank to suit the length of the cookline.
A canopy for cooking on two sides using a double filter bank.
This type of canopy is set lower than usual to catch cooking fumes coming off equipment such as fryers or conveyor ovens.
Canopies fitted above equipment which emits heat or steam, but not grease or smoke.
Installed above dishwashers to reduce humidity levels in the kitchen.
All Electric cooking requires five stage filtration so the canopy can circulate the air without ducting.

Built in UK, fitted by our own engineers

With the measurement of the canopy and the machinery under the canopy established, we work out the extraction volume and provide the appropriate fan, taking into account the limitations in the ducting system. Should the location of the site be close to residential areas, we also plan for odour and noise management, and wherever necessary, obtain the council’s approval prior to fabrication. The canopy is fabricated in our workshop and erected by our engineers according to the drawing, with the fan being commissioned before final acceptance.

Every canopy is built to order. The size, plenums and filters depend on the extraction volumes needed for the specific cooking equipment underneath it, and a canopy is only one part of the ventilation system.
Yes. Because we manufacture in-house, we regularly build bespoke canopies.
Yes, usually. If all cooking is done using only electrical appliances, then a recirculating canopy with several levels of filtration will eliminate the need for external venting.
